Fox on the
prowl
By Dan Dawson • April
30, 2010 7:55 AM
Nelson ratings just came out with
an interesting statistic. Fox News
was number one. Well that's nothing
new. What was interesting is that it
was number one for one hundred
consecutive months. Ah the liberals
must be grinding their collective
teeth huh? How dare any network show
both sides of a story! Wasn't the
media created to show only the left
side of politics? No no my liberal
friends it's okay to show both sides
and Fox has championed this cause
and viewers have responded. Fair and
Balanced.

arguments on their behalf.
John Boehner is a health care Chicken Little to
be mocked for predicting Armageddon if the
Democrats’ reform bill passed.
Sarah Palin can be ignored on arms control
because she’s “not exactly an expert on nuclear
issues.”
And Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh are just a
“troublesome” twosome spreading “vitriol.”

No,
this is your president speaking.
Once chastised for not being tough enough,
President Barack Obama has lately been getting
personal with his political adversaries — singling
them out for scorn in speeches, interviews, asides
and even in his weekly radio address.
Rather than just going after big groups of bad
guys — insurance companies, lobbyists, the media —
Obama has adopted a strategy that gives a face to
the enemy.

Let it bleed
By Dan Dawson • April
29, 2010 7:25 PM
I was sitting in a fast food
restaurant a couple days ago and
decided to read one of the local
newspapers that was on the table. I
used to be a big fan of newspapers.
What a joy it used to be to open a
crisp new paper and dart to my
favorite section to take it all in.
The smell the fresh ink on the paper
can always conjure up memories for
me. Well, times have changed indeed.
I get my news online and I love it.
The headlines change almost hourly.
The news IS news. My sad newspaper
could not compete. Everything was
out of date. I said to myself
"didn't I read this article online
like 2 days ago?". Well I'm not the
only who's noticing. According to
the Audit Bureau of Circulations the
average weekday circulation dropped
by 8.7 percent. What surprised me is
it didn't drop more. Newspaper had
their day and yes they'll still be
around for quite some time but I say
let's embrace online news as the
future and let the newspapers bleed.

The Arizona
Dump
By Dan Dawson • April 27, 2010
12:44 PM
Obama, in a bid to hold on to
independents which he's losing left
and right, proceeded to dump on the
state or Arizona for proceeding with
their immigration law. Hi attack
wasn't about fairness, it wasn't
about the law. It was getting votes
in November. Of course Harry Reid of
Nevada will like this. Good old
Harry needs those Latino votes in
November doesn't he? Wasn't
George Washington who said "Laws
made by common consent must not be
trampled on by individuals"?
